I absolutely adore these dresses from Sophie Theallet's Spring/Summer 2012 collection. I'm always a fan of a beautiful white dress. Don't you love the patterned fabric? I don't think you can go wrong pairing coral/red with robins egg blue. Notice the pretty heels sporting the same color combination—yes, please!

White lace, and lots of it!

I love wearing lace embroidery and eyelet. It makes me feel so pretty and feminine ... like Kirsten Dunst as Marie Antoinette ... just wandering through fields of wildflowers in her simple white dresses ... enough of that. But isn't lovely?

A few of my favorite looks from the 2012 Rodarte Fall Collection.

The Mulleavy sisters drew their inspiration for this collection by researching the building of Australia from the Victorian era till the late thirties, the Outback and Aboriginal art.

How about those heels?

I love the ladylike tailoring of these pieces and can totally see working them into my daily wardrobe. Isn't that hair clip amazing?

feels like spring

Apart from a few days of rain, we've been enjoying some very Spring-like weather in San Francisco. We went for a walk on Sunday and came across this gorgeous tree bursting with fluffy pink blossoms. I couldn't quite believe it was already in bloom. If I could make this picture into a dress ...

I'm fairly certain that it would look like this adorable silk number from Vanessa Bruno Athe. I'd love to slip it on and hang out in the sunshine with good friends.

I'm in love with this gorgeous silk tulle gown from Alberta Ferretti's Limited Edition collection featured on Moda Operandi.

I wish it was acceptable to wear a dress like this everyday!

I've always admired the fabrics from Liberty of London and I've especially loved seeing their collaborations with J.Crew. That said, how cute are these two (aptly named) "Perfect Shirts" from J.Crew? The Margaret Annie floral (top) is my favorite. Which one would you wear?

What do you think of Jason Wu's new ladylike lineup for Target? I'm not as in love with it as I am his 2012 Cruise Line, but I'm certainly in like with some of the pieces. It's so difficult to tell, because I've really liked the pictures of past Target Collaborations, only to be very disappointed after seeing the garments in-person. I find all of the pieces very feminine and a bit flirty, but will just have to wait till February 5th when they hit stores!

Steven Alan is opening a boutique in San Francisco? That’s right! I just learned from Refinery29 that Alan's first SF boutique, located at 445 Hayes Street, opens tomorrow. Great news, right?!

Alan’s pieces, a mix of simple silhouettes and classic Americana, have been a staple in the closets of east coasters for over a decade and I’m sure there are lots of excited ladies and gents here in the Bay.

James Perse makes my absolute favorite tee shirts and casual dresses. His silhouettes are simple, the fabrics that he uses are incredibly soft and his color palette is spot-on. Every piece that I own just gets better with age ... I'd love to add both of these dresses to my closet. Best of all? Both dresses would work year-round!

seeing spots

I love polka dots. They make me happy and remind me of my grandma, who would always wear a pretty blue blouse with white polka dots. Whenever I think of her, I think of her in that blouse. When the blouse became worn, she made it into a beautiful polka dot gown for my Barbie. So, naturally, whenever I see something with dots, I fall in love. Which is the case with this Oscar de la Renta dress, and all of the polka dot pieces from his Resort 2012 Collection above.

These clutches by M Hulot are absolute perfection. I saw the graphite/black one on Oh Joy! and fell in love. After checking it out, I was so happy to find that it comes in 2 other colors. I'll take the navy/yellow one, please!
