Texas-born Tyson Ballou. So, who wants to work off some of that pie you ate yesterday with a little one-on-one basketball?

thankful
I hope that everyone has a lot to be thankful for today. Happy Thanksgiving!
P.S. This photo is by Judy Stalus. I think the color is gorgeous.

que onda?
We're spending all week on Isla Mujeres, a small Mexican Island off the coast of Cancun in the Caribbean Sea. Historically, Isla Mujeres was a refuge for pirates, but now the demure little island is known more for it's fishermen, Mayan ruins, turtles, and dolphins. I'm excited to relax on the beach, eat, drink, and enjoy the gorgeous scenery. Hope you have a wonderful holiday!

foxy friday
How many times did you open a J.Crew catalog this past year, come across this foxy gentleman, and then just stare? Guilty! I don't know his name, but I'm certainly interested in what he's selling.
Have a lovely weekend!

say what?!
Steven Alan is opening a boutique in San Francisco? That’s right! I just learned from Refinery29 that Alan's first SF boutique, located at 445 Hayes Street, opens tomorrow. Great news, right?!
Alan’s pieces, a mix of simple silhouettes and classic Americana, have been a staple in the closets of east coasters for over a decade and I’m sure there are lots of excited ladies and gents here in the Bay.
Can’t make it to the new SF shop? Don’t fret, you can check out the full article/slideshow on Refinery29 and you can always shop online—this is 2011, after all.

dress please
James Perse makes my absolute favorite tee shirts and casual dresses. His silhouettes are simple, the fabrics that he uses are incredibly soft and his color palette is spot-on. Every piece that I own just gets better with age ... I'd love to add both of these dresses to my closet. Best of all? Both dresses would work year-round!

going up
This hot air balloon was modeled to look like the one from the Disney movie UP. Isn't it rad? How cool would it be to see this thing floating overhead?

foxy friday
I loved French actor Gaspard Ulliel's character in the Gus Van Sant directed "Le Marais" segment of the film Paris je t'aime.
I also love the scar on his left check that most people mistake for a dimple. Très foxy, n'est-ce pas?
