tape that
I LOVE Washi paper tape (Japanese masking tape). It instantly adds a bit of charm to a letter or a package and it's great for different crafts, journals, scrap books ... everything!
When we were in Japan, I stocked up! Well, I stocked up as much as I possibly could without someone telling me that I couldn't possibly need 12 rolls of tape. Ha! It's kind of difficult to find in stores here, but you can purchase it online from happy tape or from many different shops on Etsy. These are all from PrettyTape.

Mr. Brando as Stanley Kowalski.
We caught Tennessee Williams' play A Street Car Named Desire at the Actors Theatre of San Francisco on Wednesday. The acting was outstanding and disturbingly real. Go see it (they've just extended the run) before it's gone!

paper cut
Hina Aoyama, a very talented Japanese paper artist, creates extremely detailed and intricate kirie (paper cutout) artwork with a simple pair of scissors.
Doesn’t it look like lace? Imagine the patience she must have!

austin press
Kimberly Austin, of San Francisco-based Austin Press, creates the most beautiful pieces on her vintage presses. Austin draws inspiration from rare books and alphabets and offers a lovely assortment of paper goods.
I have the fuchsia and blue monogrammed cards at the top, and I love them.
To view the entire collection, visit the Austin Press site.

how to
I love these cheeky posters by design student Michael Arnold, the clever guy behind The How To: Project. Can you believe he is only 19 years old?

pop art
How cool are these paintings by my super talented friend Crystal? You can check out her other paintings on her portfolio site. She also does commissioned paintings, so if you have a favorite animal/person/thing you'd love to immortalize drop her a line.
