happy thanksgiving

I'm up in Waldport, OR at my sister-in-law's family beach house. It's super cold (it snowed on Monday—at the beach!), but very beautiful!

the mountain

Just a sampling of All For The Mountain's (their site is a trip) jewelry offerings. I especially like the phalanx necklace with the blue peacock ore shooting through it. The jewelry is available for purchase here

baby teeth

I don't know how I feel about this. They're totally creepster ... but have you ever seen anything like em? Neither have I.

anthology

A friend and I attended the Anthology Magazine launch party at West Elm in Emeryville last night. We both had a great time at the party and enjoyed the tasty cocktails and sweet treats. As you can see, the magazine is just lovely and I can't wait to get my hands on the next issue! You can subscribe here.

gaia repossi x alexander wang

Gaia Repossi, of the Place Vendôme-based French jewelry company Repossi, collaborated with Alexander Wang to create some very beautiful contemporary pieces that debuted on Wang's Fall runway. The burnt-gold cuff above is my favorite piece.

Now, I've never been to a White Castle, but I can imagine that a whiff of this candle with "notes of burger and onion" would send me stumbling to the porcelain god to rid myself of my non-white castle lunch. For just $13 this little nasty can be yours! Clink here to purchase (no judgment).

dear, dear creatures

I'm loving these charming, vintage-influenced creations from Dear Creatures. Their look book, inspired by decades past, is full of many more adorable looks.

amy claire

I love the work of Brooklyn designer Amy McCormick. Wouldn't it be fun to dance the night away in, what else, The Dance Dress?! You can check out and purchase the rest of her Fall 2010 collection here.

lazy

I love this "Need To Want Less" series by Recovering Lazyholic's Erin Hanson. Hanson's statement says it all:
"I believe we are all prone to bouts of laziness. I am constantly in the throes and try to combat my ailment with a steady diet of inspiration and doing. I hope to share things to make life easier, more organized, a little sillier, and of course less lazy."
I think we can all relate to the sentiment in these posters ...

don't forget

día de los muertos

I love these Día de los Muertos inspired images by Gala of 666 Design. These seasonal pinup Catrinas, and so many other gorgeously inspired images can be purchased here.
Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is celebrated by many people in Mexico. It is also widely celebrated in many parts of California. I love that the holiday focuses on gatherings of family and friends to remember loved ones who have parted.
In celebration of the holiday, it is traditional to build private altars in honor of the deceased laden with pictures, candles, flowers and the favorite foods and beverages of the departed. It is also customary to visit graves and leave these things as gifts.

fairy tale land

I love Anthropologie's fairy tale inspired November catalog. I haven't really loved one of their catalogs in awhile, but this, I LOVE.

Flip through the entire catalog here.

une paradis

Vanessa Paradis is simply lovely. She always looks amazing and her music makes me smile. I'm looking forward to watching her most recent film, Heartbreaker, a romantic comedy (enough said) co-starring the comical Romain Duris.
You can watch the trailer here.
